41 - TIMSS 2019. Design of the assessment and collection of released items

Issue 41 of the 'Documents' collection consists of two large sections. The first one explains how the design of the TIMSS 2019 assessment of Mathematics and Science for the fourth year of primary education is, which is what is evaluated in Catalonia. The information is extracted from Mullis, I.V.S. and Martin, M.O. (eds.), TIMSS 2019 Assessment Frameworks. Boston College, TIMSS & PIRLS International Study Center, 2017.

The second section includes the released items from the previous assessments that TIMSS has made available to the education community.

The released items had been published prior to numbers 29 and 23 of the 'Documents' collection. The released items from the 2015 assessment have also been added. The items are classified by content domains. For Mathematics: Numbers, Measurement and Geometry, and Data; for Science: Life Science, Physical Science and Earth Science.
